Prescribing Advanced Nurse Pracititioner

 

The advanced nurse practitioner is currently working between both of our surgeries.

Monday: 9.00am-11.30am & 3.00pm -5.15pm

Tuesday: 9.00am-12.00pm

Wednesday: 9.00am-11.30am

Thursday: 9:00am-11.30am

Friday: 9.00am-11.30am & 3.00pm-5.00pm

 

The prescribing advanced nurse practitioner can diagnose and treat most minor illnesses.

 

Please note these times may vary due to staff holidays/sickness.

 

Infants under 1 years and pregnant woman should be seen by a doctor.

 

The nurse practitioners can diagnose, prescribe and refer patients. These are some of the conditions they can treat, please note they are not restricted to these.

  • Sore throats
  • Headaches
  • Hayfever
  • Asthma problems
  • Abdominal pain
  • Eye problems
  • UTI's
  • Chest infections
  • Rash
  • Cold sores
  • Boils
  • Soft tissue injuries
  • Balanitis
  • Vaginal discharge/infections/thrush
  • Mastitis
  • Emergency contraception/missed pills
  • Unwell children over 1 year old
