                 Saving the environment/Green Impact

Here at the Practice, we are trying to do our bit to save the environment. Here are just some of the things we are doing and will continue to do;

  • We have installed solar panels on the surgery roof
  • We have purchased an electric car for the delivering of your prescriptions, this is also used by GP's and nurses on their home visits.
  • We recycle our rubbish
  • We use a compost bin
  • We print double sided at every opporunity possible and have 'save ink' settings on all our printers.
  • The practice has recently started recycling your used inhalers. If you have an inhaler that is empty, please bring it in to the surgery and we will send it to be recycled.

Green impact is an organisation that brings staff,communities and curriculums together to change the way that they work so that the world around them becomes from green and environmentally friendly. Green impact is working in hundereds of organisations in the world .Most actions you have to take are very simple. These are include printing double sided on paper and switching lights off after use. The Practice has been awarded a Bronze green Impact certificate.
